LOGAN LORE SURVIVAL

Logan Lore Survival is a survival, tracking, bushcraft and preparedness school based in the mountains of Wanaka, New Zealand. We have a saying which is "prepared not paranoid". It means to live life with the fullest of intent but to do so with the mindset, skills and knowledge to be able to thrive in whatever situations may present themselves, protecting those you love the most. From urban threats, accidents in the wilderness to natural disasters, emergency and survival situations do happen. A large part of the Logan Lore philosophy is having an understanding of the skillsets needed to safely navigate the dangers this ever-changing world presents.

Our goal is to draw from our background and knowledge to provide some of the worlds best bushcraft, urban and wilderness survival and first aid training in a way that is highly transferable and can be applied in the real world. From basic family preparedness training through to advanced survival, tracking and bushcraft we strive to deliver one of a kind training that is innovative, tangible, realistic and highly effective. The Logan Lore teaching methods focus on three mains areas, the experience, the knowledge and the strategy needed to implement the training to your own individual lives.

As a society, we have become very reliant on others for help which we feel is a double-edged blade as in an emergency or survival situation, first responders are often too stretched for resources and/or are too late to assist. This is where the incredibly empowering benefits of self-reliance come into play and the ability to have the skills and tools needed to protect yourself and family in an array of situations. Much of the skills we teach were once a common practice by many but are becoming a dying art as we now outsource our safety and needs. We strongly feel survival and emergency preparedness training is for everyone, the level in which you choose to take that training is up to you. Aside from the obvious benefits, it also provides resourcefulness, forward planning and preparedness which can be used and transferred to assist in all areas of life and a much deeper connection to nature, something we could all benefit from.

"Survival favors the prepared; success favors the trained; fortune favors the bold."
