Pine Pollen Foraging.

For about a 5 day window each spring, Pine Pollen is available to harvest here. Each year we go out as a family and try to collect as much as possible for the next 12 months. In this video, we show you some of our favorite foraging spots here in Lake Wanaka as well as the benefits and some of the best ways to collect it. There is a deep and intrinsic feeling of satisfaction that comes with knowing what plants you can use for food and medicinal purposes. It is a craft I look forward to teaching and sharing more with daughter over the years.
